BOT_MERGE(nged)

NAME

bot_merge - merge multiple BOT meshes into a single BOT object

On this page

SYNOPSIS

bot_merge bot_dest bot1_src [botn_src ...]

DESCRIPTION

The bot_merge command combines two or more BOT (Bag-of-Triangles) primitive objects into a single new BOT named bot_dest. All source BOTs (bot1_src, botn_src, …) are merged by concatenating their vertex and face lists. The source objects are not modified or deleted.

At least one source BOT must be specified in addition to the destination name.

Note
bot_merge concatenates vertex lists without fusing shared vertices. If the input BOTs share vertices at the same position, those vertices will be duplicated in the result. Use bot_fuse afterward to merge duplicate vertices.

EXAMPLES

Example 1. Merge two BOTs

mged> bot_merge combined.bot left_half.bot right_half.bot

Creates combined.bot by merging the vertex and face lists from left_half.bot and right_half.bot.

Example 2. Merge multiple BOTs and clean up

mged> bot_merge raw_merged.bot part1.bot part2.bot part3.bot mged> bot_fuse fused_merged.bot raw_merged.bot

Merges three BOTs into one, then fuses duplicate vertices to produce a clean mesh.
