COMB_STD(nged)
NAME
comb_std, c - create or modify a combination using standard Boolean notation
On this page
SYNOPSIS
DESCRIPTION
The comb_std command (also available as c) creates or modifies a combination using standard Boolean operators. The combination comb_name is created if it does not exist; if it does exist, the new members are appended to it.
Each member is specified as an operator-object pair:
-
uor+— union -
-— subtraction -
` — intersection (use `only in contexts where it is unambiguous)
Members are listed in order: the first operator applies between the combination and the first object; subsequent operators apply between successive objects.
The comb_std command (alias c) is a simplified alternative to comb that uses infix Boolean expression parsing similar to traditional MGED syntax.
EXAMPLES
mged> c vehicle.c u hull.r u engine.r - hole.r
Creates vehicle.c with hull.r and engine.r unioned, then hole.r subtracted.
mged> c plate.c u top.s u bottom.s
Creates plate.c as the union of top.s and bottom.s using the short alias.
