ERASE(nged)

NAME

erase - Deletes the specified list of objects from the MGED display.

On this page

SYNOPSIS

erase object [object ...]
erase -r object [object ...]
erase -A attr value [attr value ...]
erase -o -A attr value [attr value ...]

DESCRIPTION

Deletes the specified objects from the MGED display.

Without options, each named object or displayed path is removed from the current display.

The -r option erases all displayed paths associated with the named objects.

The -A option switches erase into attribute-selection mode. In that form, arguments are interpreted as attribute name/value pairs and all matching objects are erased from the display. By default all specified pairs must match; the -o option changes attribute mode so that matching any one of the supplied pairs is sufficient.

EXAMPLES

The example shows the use of the erase command to delete two objects from the MGED display.

Example 1. Delete specified objects from the MGED display
mged> erase region1 shapea

Deletes region1 and shapea from the MGED display.
