EYE(nged)

NAME

eye - set eye point to given model coordinates

On this page

SYNOPSIS

eye
eye mx my mz
eye "mx my mz"

DESCRIPTION

The eye command positions the view’s "eye" point (the camera location) at the specified model coordinates.

The command supports three modes of operation: * If no arguments are provided, it returns the current model coordinates of the eye point. * If three numerical arguments (mx my mz) are provided, the eye point is translated to those exact coordinates. * If a single string containing three space-separated numbers ("mx my mz") is provided, it parses the string and moves the eye point to those coordinates.

EXAMPLES

Example 1. Query the current eye location

mged> eye

Returns the current X, Y, and Z model coordinates of the eye point.

Example 2. Move the eye to the origin

mged> eye 0 0 0

Positions the camera eye point precisely at the model’s (0, 0, 0) origin.
