NMG_KILL_V(nged)

NAME

nmg_kill_v - remove a vertex from an NMG solid by coordinates

On this page

SYNOPSIS

nmg_kill_v nmg_name V x y z

DESCRIPTION

The nmg_kill_v command removes the vertex at model-space coordinates (x, y, z) from the NMG solid nmg_name. The literal token V must appear as the second argument. The vertex is located by matching its stored coordinates to the provided values.

Removing a vertex also removes its vertexuse, vertex geometry, and all higher-order topological elements (edges, loops, faces) that depend on it.

Use labelvert nmg_name to display the model-space coordinates of all vertices in the solid before running this command.

The nmg_kill_v command is the standalone form of the nmg <object> kill V subcommand.

EXAMPLES

Example 1. Remove a vertex at known coordinates

mged> labelvert my_nmg.s mged> nmg_kill_v my_nmg.s V 50 100 0

First displays all vertex coordinates in my_nmg.s, then removes the vertex at (50, 100, 0).
