NMG_MOVE_V(nged)

NAME

nmg_move_v - move an NMG vertex to a new position

On this page

SYNOPSIS

nmg_move_v nmg_name V x_old y_old z_old x_new y_new z_new

DESCRIPTION

The nmg_move_v command moves an existing vertex in the NMG solid nmg_name from its current model-space position (x_old, y_old, z_old) to a new position (x_new, y_new, z_new). The literal token V must appear as the second argument. Exactly six coordinate values (three for the old position and three for the new position) are required.

The vertex is found by matching its stored coordinates to the (x_old, y_old, z_old) values. All edges and faces attached to that vertex are updated in place to reflect the new position.

Use labelvert nmg_name to display the current vertex coordinates before running this command.

The nmg_move_v command is the standalone form of the nmg <object> move V subcommand.

EXAMPLES

Example 1. Move a vertex to a new position

mged> nmg_move_v my_nmg.s V 50 100 0 50 150 25

Moves the vertex at (50, 100, 0) to the new position (50, 150, 25) in my_nmg.s.
