X(nged)

NAME

x - report the currently displayed solids and vector list information

SYNOPSIS

x [level]

DESCRIPTION

The x command (also available as solid_report) reports information about the solid objects currently drawn in the display. It is equivalent to who solids [level].

The optional level argument controls how much detail is shown:

Level Output

-2 or less

Primitive names only.

-1

Full paths to each drawn primitive.

0 (default)

Full paths plus illumination state.

1

Adds per-solid center, size, region flag, and color information.

2

Adds vector-list counts.

3 or greater

Adds the actual vector-list commands.

If level is omitted, the default level 0 is used.

EXAMPLES

Example 1. List currently drawn primitives with default detail

mged> x

Lists all currently drawn primitives with their full paths and illumination state (level 0).

Example 2. List primitives with per-solid color and size information

mged> x 1

Lists all drawn primitives with center, size, region flag, and color information.

Example 3. List primitive names only

mged> x -2

Lists just the names of currently drawn primitives, with no path or extra detail.
