NAME

zap - erase all displayed objects from the graphics window

On this page

SYNOPSIS

zap
Z

DESCRIPTION

The zap command (also available as Z) removes all objects from the current display. The geometry remains in the database — only the display list is cleared. After running zap, the graphics window will be empty. Use draw or e to display objects again.

No arguments are accepted. Providing any argument returns a usage error.

EXAMPLES

Example 1. Clear the display

mged> zap

Removes all currently displayed objects from the graphics window. The database is not modified.

Example 2. Clear and redisplay a specific object

mged> zap

mged> draw hull.c
