zoom scale_factor
ZOOM(nged)
NAME
zoom - zoom the view in or out by a scale factor
On this page
SYNOPSIS
DESCRIPTION
The zoom command multiplies the apparent size of displayed objects by dividing the current view scale by the given scale_factor.
-
A
scale_factorgreater than 1 zooms in — objects appear larger. -
A
scale_factorbetween 0 and 1 zooms out — objects appear smaller.
The view scale is clamped at a minimum value to prevent the view from collapsing to zero. scale_factor must be a positive, finite number; values that are zero, negative, or infinite return an error.
Exactly one argument is required.
EXAMPLES
The example shows the use of the zoom command to reduce the size of the viewing cube by half.
mged>zoom 2
Reduces the size of the current viewing cube by half (effectively doubling the size of objects in the display).
